Cyberpunk 2077 is getting bigger and bigger on the horizon. Before the release on December 10th we will introduce you all editions in detail and explain where you can buy them. There are a few differences between the versions on Steam and GOG, as well as between digital and physical editions.

What editions of Cyberpunk are there?
An important note in advance: No matter which version you buy, the game itself is always the same. Developer CD Projekt has deliberately left out classic pre-order bonuses. So you don’t have to do without certain weapons or outfits if you only access them after the release.
Cyberpunk 2077 Standard Edition
What’s in it? You can also find the normal, physical version of Cyberpunk 2077 as “Day One Edition”. It contains an unusually large number of bonuses, the following additional content you get with the PC version:
- The case with game code and soundtrack CD
- A reversible cover
- A world compendium that explains more about the setting and the background of the game
- Postcards from the Night City districts
- A map of Night City
- sticker
- Digital cyberpunk comic “The Voice”
- Digital art booklet with some artwork from Cyberpunk 2077
- Digital source collection
- Wallpapers for your desktop and mobile devices
What does the content look like? You can find it on the official YouTube channel an unboxing video.
How much is it? The standard edition of Cyberpunk 2077 costs 60 dollars if you have it on the website, buys on Amazon or in retail stores.
Buy Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam or GOG
If you opt for the digital version on Steam, you will only get the digital bonuses. Since GOG belongs to the developer CD Projekt Red, you will get a few additional goodies there.
Steam-Version: Costs 60 dollars and includes the digital bonuses listed above. The link leads you on the product page.
GOG-Version: Also costs 60 dollars, but contains more bonuses. In addition to the above, there is a second, digital comic “Big City Dreams” (only in English!), More screen backgrounds and a template for a cyberpunk poster. The version is also DRM-free. Via the link below you end up at GOG.
What about the Witcher bonuses? If you link Cyberpunk to a GOG account for the release, there are in-game items in Witcher design for you, even if you play on Steam or on the consoles. If you own The Witcher 3 or Gwent, you can also get digital goodies for it.
Pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 at Stadia
It might sound surprising, but you can actually pre-order Cyberpunk from the Google Stadia cloud service. For this you even get a special bonus, namely a Stadia Premiere Edition, including a Stadia controller and Chromecast Ultra.
The offer is valid until December 17th, 2020, the exact conditions can (and should) you read through at Google Support.

Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition
Note on availability: The Collector’s Edition of Cyberpunk 2077 was sold out shortly after the pre-order start and is still not available. Presumably there will be no more deliveries. It rarely shows up on Ebay and similar sites – at extremely high prices. Always make sure to check offers carefully.
What’s in it? The PC version of the Collector’s Edition contains a lot of additional physical and digital content.

What does the content look like? For the Collector’s Edition of Cyberpunk 2077 there is a official unboxing video.
How much is it? The version was available on Amazon for around 220 dollars. Since it is sold out, there are only a few very expensive offers on Ebay and Co.
Our assessment
Cyberpunk expert Elena Schulz:Since all pre-order bonuses are no longer available, you don’t have to be tempted and can only strike for the release without hesitation after you have been able to get an idea of the role-playing game through tests. As colleague Micha made clear in his alluded preview, it can easily happen with cyberpunk that you approach false expectations – story and atmosphere fans don’t have to worry about who will have a GTA in the future, a shooter or an RPG with a realism claim expected earlier.
Investing hundreds of dollars in the out-of-print Collector’s Edition does not necessarily appear to be advisable – a lot of cyberpunk merch is also available at a lower price regardless of this, for example in the official CD Projekt Red shop the handle for the Day-One-Edition. Since it is not more expensive compared to the Standard Edition, you can take the bonuses with you without hesitation.
