After 6 months of waiting, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel for fans waiting for the next Nintendo Direct. VentureBeat reports that, based on "what we're hearing and other indicators", it's not Nintendo Direct's newest project, but it's coming soon. In fact, Nintendo is in the final stages of putting it together. VentureBeat says that Nintendo is "setting records for another indie show next week – about March 18. It will be a general directive, to be directed by Direct Direct soon – around March 26".
VentureBeat has not discussed what will be the indie show, but they are talking about Direct General. As you expect, general guides will talk about the upcoming Nintendo Transformation program. VentureBeat said it would not be able to discuss exactly what it would be, but said they "expect the company to continue to rely heavily on restoration and port issues", and support from third-party publishers and developers. "They reached out to Nintendo, but the company declined to comment.
