Steel, aluminum or your alloy
Although the PC case finding is not that great, it is true that when metal or aluminum is used there is a casuistry that sometimes has a series of alloys that combine. Logically, the union of stainless steel and aluminum is not susceptible to galvanic corrosion, so manufacturers turn to certain types of soft metal to achieve it.
So, we have three main types of materials with very well defined information. Iron, for example, is heavier and heavier, more difficult to replace when turning or forming, but providing a greater degree of strength.
Aluminum is soft, allowing for a very large number of conditions and with a little bit of complexity, it is light, but if it has no fabric it can be worn. The problem is that this combination added to the price of raw material usually makes the final price of the chassis even higher.
Alloys, on the other hand, have the best of both worlds, besides their price, and for this reason are only used in high-performance boxes.
Styrofoam
Some manufacturers prefer to add premium touches to used materials and add a more refined Styrofoam linch. They tend to use it as a very thin layer that gives a kind of rubber feel to the content, which improves the overall feel and quality and adds a bit of chillisiness to the chassis.
The problem is that it works like a thermal insulation, so if we don't have less air we will have more heat.
Glass or crystals
We have been a few years where this information was explicitly included in plexiglass, not for better or worse, for some advantages and disadvantages, such as for better internal appearance, greater transparency, better availability, complete breakdown without any choices or edges we can cut and priced.
It is also difficult to resist scratching, especially when taken lightly, so it can save us from the typical product that happens in plexiglass by simply looking at it.
Plastics
Used since last time, they are now far from ABS or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene. It is a high-quality plastic used in engineering, it is available in thermoplastics, it is durable, high-resistance and temperature drops up to 40 degrees and can be made in many colors.
Its high quality and standard quality make the industry dispose of and use standard plastic, preferably without the low-end, where the cost of PC cases invites to keep things cheap.
At the end of the day, the use of novel or expensive items is prohibited and is sometimes described in models or concepts, where skyrocket prices. The PC industry is very cautious in relation to PC cases, manufacturers are competing for a profit of a few euros and they must repatriate their R&D in the short term to continue developing.
Therefore, not many take risks with new things and when this happens, if others do not, such things can be forgotten. And that competition is such that for 20 euros you can jump even in the range, where at a higher price the difference goes up, but the debate remains the same.
