For some lucky people (like me, sorry!) Cyberpunk runs great and looks great. For many, however especially on older hardware, it runs like shit and looks like ass. Not an ideal situation!
As a result, more and more people are reporting that they have requested – and received – refunds for the game on both console and PC. This Reddit thread from the weekend It kicked off with a user who claimed he called Sony’s US helpline and got his money back after speaking to a representative. Since then, there have been a ton of other buyers who said they received refunds on Steam and the Microsoft Store as well. Buyers on CD are Projekt Red’s own Good Old Games platform According to reports, either refunds or credits are offered in-store
I received my refund from Microsoft after playing for almost 2 hours. I was surprised they didn’t bother me.
I played for 3 hours. But it was barely 12 hours after I bought the game.
Listed the issues and they refunded me after an hour.
I had 8.1 hours of play on Steam. My initial refund request was denied, but a second was sent asking them to take another look and luckily it was accepted.
Of course, not everyone has had the same level of success, and many of those who claim they have received refunds report calling back multiple times or sometimes waiting on hold for hours.
If you find yourself in this situation and are considering a refund, your mileage may also vary depending on where you live and how tough consumer protection laws are.
