Sequel to Ninja Theory HellbladeOld one sacrifice didn’t appear at Microsoft’s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase at E3 2021 for a very good reason: The game, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, seems to be quite early in development based on a new update from the developer.
Tameem Antoniades, “Chief Creative Ninja” at Ninja Theory, said in a development update on Thursday that the Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2
Antoniades said that Ninja Theory “didn’t want to do a direct sequel – we wanted to do something very special and make our lives as difficult as possible.”

“On the character front, we build real costumes [and] scan them, ”said Antoniades. “We’re working with Epic Games to bring you next-generation digital characters. [and] On the battle front, we want it to be extra real and brutal, so Melina [Juergens], our leading actress, has been training for two years and all of our animators have completed combat training. “
Antoniades’ update ended with “not a trailer, not a gameplay reveal, but a montage of the kind of work we’ve done so far”.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 was first announced as one of the first Xbox Series X games at The Game Awards in December 2019. The original Hellblade was published in 2017 and was praised for its narrative structure and the performance of Melina Jürgens. This game told the story of Senua, a Pict warrior who travels to the northern plain of Helheim.
