The last time we heard about Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.2, we learned that it was going to have to be delayed due to the cyberattack that CDPR had suffered a few months ago. Working there shouldn’t be easy right now, but at least today we got the patch notes which has no date yet.
This time there was no Night City Wire on Twitch, but a long text in which a reporter from the world of Cyberpunk 2077 tells us what the patch is about. And in short, it is about solving many problems that the game has since its launch, although we hope that what we saw today is not everything.
Solutions and video
The main problem to be solved will be the police presence. So far many players report that committing a crime means that the police will materialize behind the player, in the style of a teleportation. This is not intentional, but a mistake, so now the police will take their time to arrive. There is an example video.
Another novelty is the control of the car, now we can adjust the sensitivity of the steering wheel, something that has been claimed for some time. PC gamers will appreciate it as driving on this platform was more difficult due to the lack of sticks. CDPR also revealed that it will be easier to drive through an FPS drop.
A “unblock” function has also been added, as there are times when a car can stall when the wheels do not touch the ground when stepping onto the road. Now the cars can turn on themselves so they don’t have to leave the car in the middle of the street.
Finally, an option has been added to remove the automatic dodge movement when pressing a button twice, which can now be assigned to another key. And this is all in theory, although the patch is expected to fix more things that are less obvious, such as game stability and crashes that console players suffer.
Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.2 would arrive at the end of March.
