Dead Space, the original Visceral Games game released in 2008 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, will receive a ‘remake’ for the current generation. This space horror title is being developed by EA Motive for PS5, Xbox Series X / S and PC, but unfortunately there is no tentative release date.
Fans of engineer Isaac Clarke can expect improvements to the story, characters and playable mechanics in this remake. This while we accompany Isaac to survive in a living nightmare aboard the desolate USG Ishimura. In turn, while we unravel the mystery about what really happened to the crew and the invasion of creatures known as Necromorphs.
Dead Space is being rebuilt from the ground up with the Frostbite engine, taking advantage of solid state hard drives, 3D audio, and everything else that the current generation of powerful consoles has to offer.. EA Motive works closely with the community of Dead Space to receive feedback on the modernization of the original 13-year-old game.
In an interview with IGN, producer Phil Ducharme stated that the EA Motive team learned from past mistakes with the franchise, to ensure that the remake of Dead Space do not seek to squeeze the players monetarily. In other words, they won’t use microtransactions.
