The most recent patent of Sony shows evidence of a voice assistant that would allow you to interact with the PlayStation 5 to ask for help. Contrary to what we saw with the Xbox One and its Cortana implementation, the Sony version would be more like a helpline for get tricks that allow to advance in the game.

Published in the United States Patent Office and captured by Reverse, the patent is entitled "In-game resource surface platform"and its description indicates that it is activated at the request of the user when making a query related to completing a goal.

A diagram shows a player asking the question "Hey PlayStation, how do I defeat the boss?", Which will be processed by the console to provide an answer.

The Sony patented assistant uses artificial intelligence to get the job done. When a user makes a voice query, the system analyzes the question and performs multiple tasks. First processes current player data and compares them with information from other players who have completed the objective.

The wizard identifies successful attempts and extracts the resources used using a machine learning module, then offering the most suitable solution to the end user on the screen.

The system analyzes "resources" within the game, for example the combination of items, armor, special abilities and more. According to Sony, with the increasing increase in content within video games, it has become increasingly difficult to find a correct combination to win, so users rely on a "trial and error" mechanic to keep moving forward.

While this implementation sounds interesting, it should be mentioned that there is a trick

and it has to do with the possibility of get more money for micropayments. Some patent diagrams show downloadable content recommendations to purchase from the PlayStation Store.

The document does not mention that the wizard is going to be a function premium or it refers openly to the PS5, although from the diagrams it is very clear that this is an implementation for the next console from Sony.

As is always the case with patents, this wizard may not materialize. While that happens, the most reliable and free method to get help will be to take the mobile and search YouTube "How to pass the boss?
